Elyse's Bridal Shower

Thursday, December 12, 2019

I am so, so excited to share some of my Bridal Shower with you guys today! All of the festivities surrounding my wedding were so incredible and I've never felt so loved! I'm going to start off with the pictures, because let's be honest, that's why you're here...

Graham's Chocolate Covered Oreos
My shower was in the thick of wedding season, October 20th. For reference, in September we had 14 weddings and in October we had 10 weddings. We were in the trenches! So from the start of planning it with my sister, we knew we wanted to keep it simple.

While we wanted a simple shower, we didn't want it to feel simple - We still wanted a chic, fun, and beautiful bridal shower. The number one factor in getting everything I wanted with as little stress as possible was the venue! We picked Bien Trucha in downtown Geneva, IL. If you're anywhere in the northwest or western Chicago Suburbs, run don't walk to Bien Trucha! (Tip - Make reservation if you can, this place is always packed... it's that good.)

Since the venue was already chic and stylish on its own, we didn't need to do too much with decor. We stayed with a greenery and palm leaf theme to mimic the invitations we sent out for the shower.

The room had the best vibe all day, the food was amazing (as always), and having all of my closest people there was the icing on the cake!

Elyse's Wedding |Sneak Peek|

Back on November 23rd, Elyse (the older half of Two Sisters) married the love of her life, Marty! We don't have the photos back from their wedding photographer, but we just can't wait any longer to share some of her big day!

Of course, I (Betsy 😊) was Elyse's Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids wore different black floor length gowns of their choice. When mine arrived and I tried it on, I realized that I literally ordered the same dress as Elyse, just in black. Ok, not technically the same brand, but the same style and silhouette. Don't worry, I asked her like 20 times if she cared... And her response every single time was "Sis, we do everything together, it's only right that we match!" I absolutely LOVED being her Maid of Honor! The whole toast thing, not so much. I think I'm going to write a blog post about giving a good Maid of Honor toast at a wedding. Because we're wedding planners, we've seriously heard hundreds, so I think we'll have some good advise.

The color palette for the wedding was varying shades of burgundy and gold. Here is Elyse's stunning (and massive) bridal bouquet! Elyse creates all of our bridal bouquet for Two Sisters Events and she absolutely loves it, but creating her own for her big day was so fun!

Elyse and Marty had the sweetest, most romantic 75 guest wedding at Maggiano's Little Italy in Schaumburg, IL. Elyse wanted the vibe to be dark and moody - So we kept the lights low (sorry again to the awesome photographer!) and had lots of candles with a burgundy sequined table cloth.

We're waiting on pins and needles for the professional photographer's photos! But in the meantime, we're going to continue shamelessly starring at these iPhone pics ;)

Welcome to Our Lives

Wednesday, December 11, 2019

Hello and welcome to our blog! We have a pretty big list of things we want to do in the upcoming year, and starting a blog is at the top of that list!

We want this blog to be a place for people to get inspired, get away from life (even if it's just for a few minutes), and maybe even learn something new. Our goal/plan is to post twice a week, and we'll be posting a little bit of everything...
• Wedding Stuff (I mean we are wedding florists, and all things wedding obsessed!)
• Style
• Home Decor (shoutout to Elyse... She's the decorating Queen!)
• Food & Recipes (Keto and non-Keto)
• Travel Collections

We've always wanted to have a blog, and since we've been in the wedding industry for 7 years, it seemed natural to have a Wedding Blog. But we love so much more than weddings - We love all the things we listed above. So we decided to share it all!

We hope you'll follow along on this new journey, and we hope you'll get inspired along the way! Be sure to follow along on Instagram too, we'll share tons of stuff from our everyday life there.

♥️
